Who we are
Hi there! My name is Adrienne, and I have always loved potatoes in any form. I have also always dreamed of opening up a restaurant but was bogged down by stressful 9-to-5s. I had finally decided to take the leap and give it a go on a super small scale and make my beloved, versatile potatoes the theme.
Having relocated to the Bay Area from my hometown of Washington DC in the Spring of 2018, my hubby and I have been living on a boat. I see boaters out sailing and motoring all the time, and I noticed that although there are many restaurants on land by the water, there was no way my fellow boaters could grab a quick bite or beverage while underway. So I launched my tiny vessel out on the Alameda/Oakland Estuary to serve my boating community.
It didn’t take long for me to realize that the afternoon winds, and wakes from larger vessels proved to quite challenging! I was being bounced around like crazy! So I moved to land, selling a variety of potato dishes and hot dogs, just because, well, hot dogs are popular.
After much thought, it came to me that the one common theme has been that everyone loves my potato chips! So, now I embark on a new journey, preparing and packaging my Porthole Potato Chips. I sell them at farmers’ markets and I’ll be shooting for local bars, restaurants and grocery store shelves.
Stay tuned!!
